Origin of Symmetry is Muse's second studio album, released on 17 July 2001 in the United Kingdom (but not until 2005 in the United States). It was more of a success than Showbiz, and introduced Muse to a wider audience.

The album yielded four singles, in order Plug In Baby, New Born, Bliss and (double A-side) Hyper Music/Feeling Good.

OverviewEdit

Origin of Symmetry features a similar style to Showbiz, but perhaps with a more epic scope, and a heavier atmosphere. Many of the songs on the album, like Plug In Baby, were written during the band's early days, however a few are new compositions.
