Screenager Lyrics

Who's so phony and always surrounded?
Stop your screaming - no one can hear
All the scars on your skin: 'post no bills'

Who you were
Was so beautiful
Remember who
Who you were

Hide from the mirror - the cracks and the memories
Hide from your family - they won't know you now
For all the holes in our souls host no thrills

Who you were
Was so beautiful
Memories who
Who you were

Song meaningEdit

"Screenager" is about a teenager, essentially trapped in a screen. The teen's life has been consumed by a rich fantasy, and the teen no longer has her feet grounded in reality. "Hide from your family, they won't know you now ..." refers back to this. Her life is becoming more of a screen, and she hides there, essentially hiding from her family because they don't know who the real 'her' is, minus all the electronic devices. Solemn guitar strums courtesy of Matt Bellamy twist majestically with his soft crooning.
